What is a seamless gutter?
A Seamless gutter is formed on site with a roll former gutter machine. Unlike traditional sectional gutters which are typically seamed every 10'-16', seamless gutters are formed and cut to length in one continuous piece of material and only caulked and mitered together at the corners.
5" gutter
5" gutter is sufficient for smaller roofs with low pitch. Most commonly found on residential homes. One foot of 5" can hold .625 gallons of water, smaller but still packs a punch!
6" gutter
6" gutters are becoming a more popular option and they are a must for large roofs with steep pitches. A common misconception is the size. While they are only 1" wider at the top of the trough, they can handle 37.5% more water than it's 5" counterpart. One foot of a 6" gutter can hold 1 gallon of water that's a lot of rainfall!
How are my gutters going to be attached?
On most applications our gutters are installed with hidden hangers that hook to the front inside lip of the gutter and are secured through the back of the gutter to the fascia with 1.5" screws. Placed at least every 2', they provide a secure application while not being visible from the ground.
Wedges
For applications with angled fascia boards wedges are needed to raise the front lip of the gutter. Placed every 4' and crimped to the backside of the gutter, this solution creates a functional system.
Roof straps
For applications that have little to no fascia, fascia that has too great of an angle for wedges, crown molding or trim that would interfere with wedge placement. Straps hook in the hidden hanger and are secured to the roof under the shingle.
What is the purpose of gutters?
A gutter's job is to catch, carry, and divert water from your roof away from your home. Gutters play a crucial role in protecting your home's fascia, soffit, siding, windows, doors, foundation, and landscaping from water runoff.
Pencil Bead/Ruler bead
This adds strength to the gutter, prevents unsightly oil-canning, and helps leaves and debris from getting stuck to the bottom of the gutter.
